Inter Miami ‘to consider’ move for Giovani Lo Celso as Allende alternative

El Correo de Andalucía reports that Inter Miami are interested in Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso for the winter window. The link has been framed as more plausible than recent high-profile rumours.
One strand of logic is an Allende contingency. Tadeo Allende’s record 9 goals in the 2025 play-offs have probably inflated his fee beyond what Miami want to pay Celta Vigo, who hold his rights.
Lo Celso, 29, is more of a creator than Allende, who thrived in transition this year. He has played for Rosario Central, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Betis, Villarreal and Tottenham, totalling 47 goals and 37 assists across 11 seasons.
He is from Rosario, like Lionel Messi and Mateo Silvetti, and has been an Argentina team-mate of Messi and Rodrigo De Paul during the 2022 World Cup triumph.
Betis are said to be trimming payroll to fund a centre forward, with Lo Celso valued at about $5.9 million and on a similar salary, and he has had muscle issues this season. He would almost certainly require a Designated Player deal, and with one DP slot open alongside Messi and De Paul, a move for Lo Celso could make sense in a busy silly season.
