Arturo Vidal says he hopes today’s goal against Fiorentina is only the first of many in his career at Inter.
Antonio Conte’s side lead 1-0 at half-time in their Coppa Italia last 16 match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with the Chilean converting a penalty after Alexis Sanchez was fouled by Viola keeper Pietro Terracciano.
The Nerazzurri are due to face local rivals AC Milan in the quarter-finals if they get the better of Cesare Prandelli’s side.
“We’ve played the first 45 minutes just like we’d prepared them,” Vidal told Rai Sport in his pitch-side interview.
“We need to keep going, we’re doing well and we need to do well right until the end of the game.
“I was very eager to score, I want to do my best and I hope to score many more goals for Inter.
