Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez scored his eighth goal in his 14th appearance against Lazio in last night’s 2-0 win at San Siro. 

According to the Italian media via L’Interista, El Toro demonstrated his class with a stunning opening goal in the third minute.

The 28-year-old striker headed into proceedings on a three-game scoring drought in Serie A, last finding the net against Cremonese in early October.

With Marcus Thuram on the bench, the pressure was on the Argentine superstar to produce the goods in front of goal. And he did.

After failing to score in three consecutive league matches, Lautaro Martinez returned to the scoresheet in style.

Indeed, he slammed home a thumping finish from just inside the box, leaving Ivan Provedel with no chance to react.

Therefore, El Toro took his Serie A tally for the season to four goals, with only Hakan Calhanoglu scoring more than him.
