Cristian Chivu helped Inter Milan fans erase the memory of their last match against Lazio under former manager Simone Inzaghi.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, last night’s 2-0 win at San Siro confirmed the 45-year-old holds one key advantage over his predecessor.
Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny inspired the Nerazzurri to their 11th win in 12 matches across all competitions.
Particularly significant was the latter’s strike in the 62nd minute, marking his fourth Serie A goal of the season.
Therefore, the French youngster has as many league goals under his belt as El Toro this term.

Inzaghi failed to win a trophy in his last season at San Siro, even though he kept Inter in contention for the treble until mid-April.
Despite his controversial exit, Inter’s trophyless 2024/25 campaign wasn’t entirely his blame.
Indeed, the Al-Hilal boss desperately lacked squad depth, especially in attack.
Mehdi Taremi, Joaquin Correa, and Marko Arnautovic were never up to the standards of Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.
However, Francesco Pio Esposito and Bonny have gone from strength to strength this term, proving to be reliable backup options.
Their contribution could be crucial for Inter in the long run.
