Hakan Calhanoglu and Petar Sucic inspired Inter Milan to a scintillating 3-0 home win over an out-of-sorts Fiorentina last night.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, they were the two best players on the pitch.

Veteran goalkeeper David de Gea frustrated Cristian Chivu’s side throughout the first half, making several incredible saves.

Indeed, the Spaniard was the only reason Inter failed to take the lead before halftime.

De Gea’s brilliant stops kept Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco at bay, but he continued in the same vein after the break.

Despite taking a shot from close proximity, Denzel Dumfries couldn’t beat the former Manchester United captain.

Inter needed a moment of magic to find a way past De Gea, and Hakan Calhanoglu answered the call.

Indeed, the 31-year-old unleashed a rocket missile from long range to open the scoring in the 66th minute.

Then, Petar Sucic stole the show with a highlight-reel move, dancing past Pietro Comuzzo with a wonderful piece of skill before finishing with aplomb.

Sucic’s goal put clear daylight between the sides, but Inter refused to rest on their laurels.

Instead, Calhanoglu completed his second Serie A brace of the season from the spot to cap off an impressive victory.
