Inter Milan are eyeing up Genoa’s Morten Frendrup and Torino’s Samuele Ricci to replace the likes of Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are starting to wake up to the reality of the transfer market after yesterday’s Champions League final loss against Paris Saint-Germain.
There is hardly an area of the squad in which the Nerazzurri won’t look to intervene. But midfield is certainly a big one.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is 36 years of age, and looked physically spent against PSG yesterday. Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella aren’t exactly getting any younger at 31 and 28 respectively.
Then, the Corriere note, both Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani could depart. Neither have looked capable of nailing down a starting spot for themselves.

Inter have already signed Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian international will make the switch this month after signing his deal all the way back in February.
However, Sucic’s arrival won’t be enough. Not least if Inter end up offloading Frattesi, Asllani, or both.
Therefore, the Corriere report, Inter are also plotting other midfield signings.
Firstly, the newspaper anticipate, Genoa’s Morten Frendrup will be a target.
