Inter wing-back Federico Dimarco says Italy are fully focused on putting things right when they face Norway at San Siro tonight.

The Azzurri are unlikely to overturn the goal difference gap needed to top the group.

However, the Inter defender insists the objective is clear: respond to the heavy defeat suffered in Oslo.

Speaking to Vivoazzurro TV, with quotes via FCInterNews, Dimarco underlined the mood inside the camp.

“It’s an important match because it’s the last one before the playoffs. We have to keep doing what we’re doing. The goal is to try to win: we’ll take the pitch for that. We know how the reverse fixture ended, so we need to get a big result for ourselves.”

“It depends when you make them… but I’m happy with what I’m doing,” he said.

“What mattered most was winning, and we did that.”

The Inter man also detailed Gennaro Gattuso’s message to the squad after the 2-0 win in Moldova.

“He told us we played a great match there and that we have to do the same tomorrow.”
