Inter Milan Strengthen Defence with Loan Signing of Man City’s Akanji

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's confirmed that Inter Milan have completed the signing of Swiss defender Manuel Akanji from Man City on season long loan finalised on deadline day of the summer window.

Loan fee & salary details revealed

According to Romano, Inter'll pay 2 million euro as loan fee and cover significant portion of Akanji’s wages for the 2025 /26 season.

Option to buy linked to performance and title

The agreement includes 15 million euro purchase option which becomes obligation if Akanji features in at least 50% of Inter’s matches and if the club lifts the Serie A trophy this season.

The Swiss international had been linked with moves to Marseille and several Turkish clubs.

However he chose Inter for their ambitious sporting project and the chance to compete for honours in Champions league.
