Inter Milan’s youth academy continues to produce standout talents, and the latest name catching attention is Henrikas Adomavicius, the 16-year-old Lithuanian goalkeeper already training with the senior squad.

Standing at 198 centimetres, Adomavicius has earned the nickname “the child giant” and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, is impressing everyone at Appiano Gentile with his technical ability and maturity.

He recently stepped in for the injured Raffaele Di Gennaro in training, though he won’t be part of the squad for the trip to Roma – that spot should go to Calligaris from the U23s.

However, continued presence with the first team could soon see him on the bench “with players the age of his parents,” Gazzetta quipped.

“In the decisive trial at the end of 2024, everyone was struck by his ability with the ball – almost like a midfielder,” the paper wrote. “At the start of 2025, he joined the Inter academy under Massimo Tarantino.”

Since then, Adomavicius’ rise has been meteoric.

Initially listed with the U16s, he quickly overtook his peers to become starting goalkeeper for the U18s, recording four starts in six matches, and also earned a Lituania U17 call-up before a further step up to Primavera training.
