Inter are concentrating their late transfer efforts on Ivan Perisic and Brooke Norton-Cuffy as they try to strengthen the flanks before the window shuts.

The strategy has taken shape in recent hours, with no real alternatives under discussion.

According to Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri hierarchy are working on multiple fronts to hand Cristian Chivu at least one wide reinforcement.

There is even the possibility of a double move if conditions fall into place.

Talks for Perisic remain complicated.

After PSV’s Champions League exit, meetings took place in Eindhoven, but the Dutch club repeated their intention to keep the Croatian.

Perisic and his representatives have made clear that a return to Inter is his priority, stressing that this request is unique to his former club.

PSV’s stance could soften depending on domestic developments. The Eredivisie leaders face second-placed Feyenoord this weekend, and a win would all but secure the title.

That scenario offers a slim opening, and Perisic’s agents are staying in the Netherlands as talks continue.

The winger turns 37 on February 2 and hopes to mark the occasion with a Nerazzurri return.

The Englishman is viewed as a Dumfries-style option, and Inter have approached Genoa to discuss a permanent deal rather than a loan.

Importantly, the two tracks are not mutually exclusive, as Perisic’s versatility would allow him to fill multiple roles if both arrivals materialise.
