Inter Player Ratings vs Roma – Lautaro Saves the Day | OneFootball

Inter fought back from a two-goal deficit for a third Serie A match in a row to hold Roma to a 1-1 draw in Saturday’s top-table six-pointer. Cristian Chivu’s side bounced back from a huge halftime deficit to deny the Giallorossi their first home win in this fixture since 2016.

The game could not have started any worse for the reigning champions as Roma took an early lead through Manu Kone, who latched onto Nahuel Molina’s cross to open his account for the 2026/27 season. Inter had a glorious opportunity to restore parity, but Yann Bisseck failed to beat Milan Svilar in a one-on-one situation.

Lautaro Martinez squandered another promising chance. El Toro got on the end of Federico Dimarco’s low cross at the far post but couldn’t keep his effort on target. Roma punished Inter for their wasteful finishing at the tail-end of the first half, with Kone doubling his tally from point-blank range.

However, Inter pulled one back in the first minute of the second half. Lautaro slotted home a fortunate left-footed finish to initiate the visitors’ comeback. The Argentine superstar leveled the score in the 79th minute with a venomous strike to keep Inter’s unbeaten start to their Scudetto defense intact.

Josep Martinez – 6/10

There wasn’t much the Spaniard could do to prevent Kone from netting his first Roma brace as his defenders let him down on both occasions. Pulled off a massive save to thwart Donyell Malen from close range and keep Inter in the game.

Yann Bisseck – 5/10

In addition to spurning a sitter midway through the first half, the German center-back lost track of Gianluca Mancini, who involuntarily assisted Kone for Roma’s second.

Manuel Akanji – 6/10

Although he was the only Inter center-back to keep their end of the bargain in the opening 45 minutes, he was lucky to get away with just a yellow for a cynical tackle on Malen on the stroke of halftime.

Alessandro Bastoni – 5/10

Too slow to close down Molina for the deadlock-breaker, the Italian star had a rough first half, performing well below his high standards.

Federico Dimarco – 6/10

Roma’s quick transitions exposed Dimarco’s defensive weaknesses, with both Giallorossi goals coming from his flank. However, he was decent in the final third and nearly set up Latuaro.

Curtis Jones – 5/10

The former Liverpool ace often found himself second-best in the physical battle. His technical qualities couldn’t shine through amid Roma’s intense pressure.

Piotr Zielinski – 6/10

Deployed as a deep-lying playmaker in the absence of Hakan Calhanoglu, Zielinski struggled to offer creativity that Inter so desperately needed to unlock Roma’s stubborn backline.

Nicolo Barella – 6/10

As ever, the diminutive midfielder fought valiantly for every possession, but like his midfield colleagues, he was unable to impose himself on the contest. His relentless running remained evident, yet Roma’s compact shape limited his influence in the final third.

Andy Diouf – 7/10

Inter’s makeshift wingback fared reasonably well defensively but offered little going forward, at least in the first half. However, he grew into the contest after the break, posing a genuine threat to Roma’s defense down the right flank.

Marcus Thuram – 8/10

After a near-anonymous first-half performance, the French forward assisted his captain for Inter’s FIRST goal with a delightful cutback. He was instrumental to Inter’s second-half resurgence.

Lautaro Martinez – 9/10

Unfazed by the early miss, the Nerazzurri talisman scored with his weaker right foot to fire Inter back into the game. He then struck home a thumping half-volley to rescue a point for his side.
