Inter have made a fresh approach for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones and are willing to raise their offer to €35m.
According to the Guardian, intermediaries representing Inter contacted Liverpool this week and indicated a willingness to increase the offer beyond the €25m bid Liverpool rejected in June. Liverpool value their homegrown midfielder at closer to €40m.
Jones has one year remaining on his Anfield contract and was unable to establish himself as a regular starter under Arne Slot last season. He was also involved in a row with Dominik Szoboszlai after Liverpool’s win over Wrexham in New York, reportedly over the captain’s armband when Szoboszlai was substituted during the friendly.

A €35m offer would remain below Liverpool’s valuation. It is unclear whether Liverpool will accept that figure, with the club facing the prospect of Jones leaving for free next summer.
New head coach Andoni Iraola has spoken about the importance of retaining Jones and preserving a local identity at the start of his first season in charge. As Yahoo Sports reported, Iraola said he hoped to keep Jones and agree a new deal.

Inter’s interest is not new. The club attempted to sign Jones during the January window with a loan proposal that included an option to buy, but Liverpool rejected the approach.
