Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com report that Inter have made Marco Palestra a leading summer target, alongside Como’s Nico Paz, but any move could hinge on departures.

The 21-year-old right-back has impressed at Cagliari during 2025-26 while on loan from Atalanta and will return to Bergamo in the summer. The reports add that Atalanta would prefer to keep him for another Serie A season before considering a sale.

Even so, Inter are keen to bring him to San Siro now and are said to be ready to commit around €40m. The push forms part of plans to reinforce Cristian Chivu’s squad after what is expected to be their 21st Scudetto in 2025-26.

Outgoings could be needed first, with talk that first-choice right wing-back Denzel Dumfries might leave due to a €25m release clause that is valid this summer.

Luis Henrique could also be moved on if offers arrive, and Calciomercato.com reports AFC Bournemouth showed interest in January. Inter would reportedly be more open to a sale if that interest returns.
