Inter Women hit four past Valur to continue their European journey

Inter Women beat Valur by four goals to one as they booked their spot in the first round of qualifying to the UEFA Women's Europa Cup.
The draw for the first round will take place in Nyon on 31 August. The first leg will take place on 10/11 September and the second on 17/18 September.
After defeat to Brann, Piovani's side cruised past the Icelandic side, scoring four times - Bugeja, Magull, Polli and Detruyer the goalscorers. As such, their European campaign continues.

Inter Women dominated a secured an important win against Valur. The result was never really in doubt, as the Nerazzurre got out to a three-nil lead in the first half. Detruyer then netted after the Icelandic side had pulled one back.
The Nerazzurre were aggressive and positive in the opening stages and, in the first quarter of an hour, threatened through Bugeja, Polli and an attempted overhead kick by Magull. After a Tomašević from a cruss by Glionna, who came on for an injured Serturini in the 17th minute, Piovani's side had the chance to take the lead from the spot, but Magull sent her penalty off target. The goal came seconds later, however. Bugeja, who scored in the Serie A Women's Cup, gave Inter the lead with a powerful left-footed effort that beat Magnusdottir.
The Maltese forward's goal opened the floodgates, and in, the 36th minute, the Nerazzurri doubled their lead through Magull, who turned in the rebound after a Magnusdottir save to deny Csiszar. The third wasn't long in coming, either: in the 41st minute, Polli volleyed home.
Valur pulled one back through Fridriksdottir in the 49th minute, but Inter remained well on top. Fresh legs provided fresh energy, and the Nerazzurre netted a fourth in the 84th minute, as Detruyer just had to tuck it home after Vilhjamsdottir hit the bar. The 4-1 win means that Piovani's side continue their European campaign in the first round of Women's Europa Cup qualifying.
