Ángel Romero seems all but certain to depart Corinthians this summer, with Internacional emerging as a possible destination.
The 26-year-old’s current contract expires in June and he has shown no signs of reaching an agreement to remain.
As a result, there has been plenty of interest in the striker’s signature, with the latest coming from Internacional.
According to GaúchaZH, they are currently weighing up a move for the Paraguayan, although they are concerned about having an excess of foreign players in the squad.
Inter currently have the permitted number of five foreign players in their squad and must weigh up who to sacrifice in order to move for Romero.
However, they are not the only side interested in snapping up the Corinthians forward as he nears a departure.
Altético Mineiro have also monitored Romero’s situation, while several European clubs are also keeping tabs on him.
Romero has scored two goals in 13 caps for his country and is expected to be part of their squad for the Copa America.
