Manchester United are mulling over Radek Vitek’s future at the club amid an impressive start to his loan spell with Bristol City.

Back in July, Vitek joined City on a season-long loan, but pledged his future to United before departing by penning a three-year extension at Old Trafford.

The new deal ensured that United have full control over the goalkeeper’s future, which could prove hugely beneficial if they look to sell him at the end of the campaign.

Vitek has since been commended for his ‘eye-catching displays in the Championship, with his saves from point-blank range often proving game-defining for the Robins.

Such showings haven’t gone unnoticed by other clubs, either, as trusted reporter Sully suggests the 22-year-old is currently garnering interest from sides across the EFL and even in the Premier League.

Yet, there is a chance United might opt to keep hold of Vitek themselves, as it’s claimed they are holding ‘internal talks’ over the ‘keeper’s future and whether he could ‘compete’ with current No.1 Senne Lamens from 2026/2027.

Lammens has hit the ground running in a United shirt and is credited for his influential efforts in Ruben Amorim’s men entering the international break on the back of a five-game unbeaten streak.

While he’s only kept one clean sheet in that time, his displays in comparison to predecessors Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana are worlds apart.

In regard to Vitek’s wishes, it’s thought he has his heart set on staying in Manchester and potentially earning his senior debut, having only represented United at youth level and non-competitive pre-season fixtures.
