Brazil women’s head coach Arthur Elias has named his Fifa Series squad for April in Cuiabá, with five Corinthians players included. Lelê, Thaís Ferreira, Gi Fernandes, Duda Sampaio and Ana Vitória are among the 26 selected.

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians will be without that quintet for the Teal Rising Cup, a friendly tournament in the United States organised by the Kansas City Current. The Brabas face the hosts on 9 April, then play the final or third-place match on 12 April.

América of Mexico and Palmeiras complete the four-team line-up. Palmeiras also had Raissa Bahia and Tainá Maranhão called up by Arthur Elias, while KC Current goalkeeper Lorena and América defender Isa Haas were selected and will miss games for their clubs.

Corinthians have been invited to both editions so far. In 2025 they finished runners-up, beating Chicago Stars 1-0 in the semi through Letícia Teles, then losing 2-1 to the hosts in the final, when Gabi Zanotti scored.

They were depleted then too, with Mariza, Yaya, Jhonson and Duda Sampaio away with Brazil, and Day Rodríguez with Venezuela. The current call-ups may also rule players out of the league meeting with Juventude on 20 April, two days after Brazil face Canada.

Next up for Corinthians is Botafogo away at Nilton Santos on Friday at 19:00 in the Brasileirão’s fifth round. They are fifth with seven points from four matches.
