International outlets hailed France's 2-0 win over Morocco in the World Cup quarter-final, casting Didier Deschamps's side as the team to beat. They will face Belgium or Spain in Dallas on 14 July at 21:00.

Kylian Mbappé missed a first-half penalty, then beat Yassine Bounou on 60 minutes for 1-0, before Ousmane Dembélé sealed it. The Athletic asked if anyone can stop France, noting they have not trailed and judging their XI and squad the most complete, while warning Spain, England and Argentina could pose greater problems.

Marca observed that Mbappé looked subdued after his miss but later drew level with Lionel Messi on eight goals at this World Cup. AS noted France have reached three straight semi-finals, a run previously achieved only by Germany and Brazil.

The Guardian praised France's tenacity and pressing, saying Morocco's early intent soon gave way to retreat and that mere survival against Mbappé and company is not a viable plan.

Belgian outlet DH Les Sports+ highlighted their consistency and said Deschamps will finish on 186 matches in charge, with his last either the small or the big final.

Bild raised a possible Adrien Rabiot handball before Mbappé's goal and questioned why VAR did not review it. Gazzetta dello Sport said France look from another planet and looked ahead to a potential France v Spain, while noting Belgium could still advance.
