Ipswich Town have confirmed two loan signings have been made permanent ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.

The Tractor Boys confirmed a second place finish on the last day of the Championship season thanks to a 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

One those is defender Cédric Kipré who initially joined the club on loan from French side Stade de Reims in the summer, playing 35 games in all competitions in total, chipping in with three goals.

Kipré's deal with the club extends until the end of the 2027/28 season.

While Ipswich said that the club was 'pleased' to sign Kipré, the announcement for Chuba Akpom was far more subdued.

In a much shorter announcement, Ipswich confirmed that Akpom joined from Ajax on a permanent deal until the end of the 2028/29.

Akpom's campaign has been underwhelming with the striker scoring just twice in 31 appearances.
