Andoni Iraola has eased concerns over Bradley Barcola by revealing the Liverpool winger's issue against Atletico Madrid was 'just cramps'.

Barcola's full debut was curtailed after an hour against Atletico Madrid in midweek, with 24-year-old withdrawn after suffering from calf discomfort.

The France international had a limited pre-season before his high-profile move to Anfield, but Iraola has eased fears over a serious issue.

Speaking at hispre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's fixture with Fulham in the Premier League this weekend, Iraola said Barcola's complaint was 'just cramps'.

He also gave an update on in-formCody Gakpo, who missed the midweek Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

Iraola said earlier this week that had had expected the Dutchman to have been available on Wednesday night, but refused to confirm whether Gakpo would feature against Fulham. He said the 27-year-old would be assessed during this afternoon's training session.

"We still need to train. We train this afternoon," Iraola said when asked about the pair.

"Barcola was just cramps. We have to evaluate how he is today, but there is no injury. I think he should be available if everything goes normal.

"Cody we will see. We will try today and see if he is ready for tomorrow or if we need to wait until the next one."
