‘Irresistible’ – Leeds United, Wolves And West Ham Told Terms To Land Scouted Midfielder | OneFootball

Leeds United, Wolves and West Ham United will need to present an ‘irresistible’ offer to Nelson Deossa to convince him to leave Real Betis this summer.

The 26-year-old has built his career across North and South America, turning out for the likes of Atletico Huila, Pachuca and Monterrey before making the jump to Europe with Real Betis last summer.

His debut campaign in La Liga proved a successful one, with Deossa making 33 appearances across all competitions as Los Verdiblancos secured Champions League football with a fifth-placed finish.

The Colombian midfielder is tied down until 2030 and has continued to catch the eye during Betis’ pre-season campaign, scoring in victories over Lyon and Arsenal.

Leeds United, West Ham United and Wolves sent scouts to watch the midfielder against the Gunners, only to be dealt a setback when it emerged that he would like to stay at Real Betis.

Real Betis have been looking at selling Deossa as a valuable source of income this summer, but if he will not play ball then a move will not happen.

Deossa though is not totally closing the door on a move, provided the offers come from the Premier League before the window closes.

According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Deossa would though need the offer from the Premier League to be ‘irresistible’ for him to sign off on the move.

What the midfielder considers to be irresistible remains to be seen, but the likes of Leeds, Wolves and West Ham would be able to put tempting proposals in front of him.

What Deossa is clear about is that he will not leave Real Betis to move to what he considers to be a league of lower competitive value.

He recently rejected the idea of a move to Brazilian club Vasco da Gama and also let it be known he will not go back to Mexico.

How that view might affect Wolves and West Ham is unclear, but both could at least offer the prospect of being Premier League sides again next season.

It remains to be seen whether any of his suitors will make a formal approach and whether the Colombian’s next move will be to England, with the Premier League or Championship
