Alphonso Davies could leave FC Bayern sooner than expected, despite his long-term contract. Clubs from Saudi Arabia have apparently already expressed interest in the Canadian national team player.
Is Alphonso Davies facing an uncertain future at FC Bayern? According to Sport BILD, representatives from several Saudi Arabian clubs have reportedly already approached the club at Säbener Straße to explore the terms of a potential transfer. Although no concrete offer has been made yet, Bayern Munich is reportedly open to a sale if the right opportunity arises.
A key reason for this appears to be the club’s changed competitive landscape. With Nathaniel Brown, the German record champions have signed a new competitor for the left side of the defense. The new signing from Eintracht Frankfurt is considered Vincent Kompany’s top choice and could have legitimate hopes of securing a starting spot next season.
In addition, Davies has been a frequent absence for Bayern over the past two seasons due to numerous injuries. A torn ACL, muscle tears, and thigh problems caused the 25-year-old to miss many competitive matches. According to Sport BILD, Kompany has become increasingly convinced during this time that the team can perform successfully even without Davies.

In addition to on-field factors, the report states that financial considerations also play a role. Davies is said to earn an estimated annual salary of between 15 and 20 million euros at FC Bayern. In addition, as part of his contract extension in early 2025, Bayern Munich reportedly paid him a signing bonus of around 22 million euros. His contract runs through 2030.
Previously, however, the Münchner Abendzeitung had reported that Davies was not planning a transfer but intended to fight for his starting spot.
