While the summer transfer windows across Europe's top five leagues have slammed shut, a unique opportunity remains alive in Turkey, where the market stays open until September 12th. This extended deadline has fueled speculation, notably linking AC Milan's Algerian midfielder Ismaël Bennacer with a potential move to Trabzonspor.

However, despite the swirling rumors, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that negotiations between AC Milan and the player have not advanced, with no agreement currently in place. The core of the stalemate appears to be Bennacer himself, who, at 27 years old, is said to have declined the initial proposal from the Turkish club.

Crucially, although discussions have hit an impasse, the offer from Trabzonspor reportedly remains on the table. This leaves the future of the Algerian international in a state of pronounced uncertainty, a situation compounded by his apparent exile from the first team. He is not part of manager Massimiliano Allegri's plans and has been training separately from the main squad.

With his contract at the San Siro running until June 2027, Bennacer carries an estimated market value of €15 million. His current situation presents a complex puzzle, as he continues to earn an annual salary of €7.04 million in Italy while facing a career at a crossroads.
