Soumaré had become Le Havre's leading attacking threat last season.

The Senegalese arrived at Le Havre in 2023 and produced a career-best return of eight goals, plus four assists.

His switch to Rennes marks a step up, and he will play in Europe for the first time, in the Europa League.
