Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin insists Inter Milan will sign a new winger in the upcoming transfer window.
In his latest TMW editorial via FCInter1908, Biasin assessed the Nerazzurri’s transfer plans for January.
Curiously, the San Siro giants faced a similar issue last winter.
Indeed, a substantial injury list forced Simone Inzaghi to land Nicola Zalewski on a short-term loan from Roma.
More importantly, that move proved crucial in the second half of last season, as Dumfries struggled with injuries even then.
The Dutchman now faces around four months in the pits after undergoing ankle surgery on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Luis Henrique has not been a dependable option on the wing despite joining the club with high expectations in the summer.
Therefore, it’s hard to exclude Inter bringing in reinforcements in January to strengthen the right flank.

Inter have already compiled a list of potential targets.
Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy has emerged as Inter’s top priority, overtaking Rafik Belghali and Idrissa Toure in the pecking order.
Meanwhile, Marco Palestra remains a ‘dream’ signing for the Nerazzurri despite his prohibitive price tag.
Biasin is confident the San Siro outfit will not sign any of them next month.
“He [Dumfries] will return in mid-March, leaving Inter with a dilemma,” Biasin wrote. “Intervene in the January transfer market or make do with what’s already in the squad?
“The answer will come soon.
“However, as always, it will be guided by an essential rule: Inter will bring in a player only if he can perform at the same level as the others – no quick fixes just to fill numbers.
“The feeling? A new piece will arrive, but none of the (thousand) names already mentioned…”
