Potential Italy player Nicolò Tresoldi has been linked with a potential Serie A move, but Sportitalia claim Atletico Madrid have begun negotiations for a €30m move from Club Brugge.

The talented striker turns 22 next month and would be eligible to play for Italy or Germany, as he was born in Cagliari and moved to Germany with his family as a child.

Although he has represented Germany at various youth levels, scoring a stunning 12 goals in 24 caps for the Under-21 side, he has not yet made a final decision on who to play for.

Tresoldi could be called up by whoever becomes the new Italy coach going into the Nations League matches in September.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia maintain that Atletico Madrid have started negotiations with the centre-forward and his entourage, hoping to poach the Club Brugge starlet.

He only joined them a year ago from Hannover 96 for €7.5m, but made a huge impact, scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists in 58 competitive games.

It would therefore require at least €30m to take him away from the Belgian team, with Como and Bayer Leverkusen also among those linked, after Milan and Arsenal reports several months ago.
