Gianluca Scamacca was forced to withdraw with a knee injury, so Kean and Retegui both start upfront, along with Mattia Zaccagni and Matteo Politano in a change to the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Nicolò Barella and Sandro Tonali form the midfield, with Riccardo Calafiori and Alessandro Bastoni in central defence.

Gianluigi Donnarumma gets his first game since joining Manchester City from Paris Saint-Germain.

Marco Carnesecchi, Giovanni Leoni, Giovanni Fabbian and Daniel Maldini are sent to the stands.
