Southampton's recent 3-0 result against Swansea helped them break their prolonged winless streak. For the important Premier League games ahead, Ivan Juric wants the Saints to take key inspiration from this win.

Southampton's 2024/25 Premier League campaign has been nothing less than a nightmare. Securing promotion after being relegated in 2023, the Saints had high spirits of a new journey.

But the less said about this season, the better.

So far, Southampton has endured an embarrassing string of results. To the extent that the club, currently at the bottom, would consider escaping relegation as an excellent finish to their campaign.

On the positive side, the recent FA Cup win against Swansea would certainly boost their confidence.

Saints boss Ivan Juric also agrees with this. Further, the 49-year-old manager believes his first Southampton win to be the beginning of a new journey ahead.

Speaking to the Daily Echo about the Premier League schedule, Juric said: "Now we have four days to prepare for the game against Manchester United. I hope it's a new beginning. Today we did a good game."

Moreover, the Croatian expressing his confidence in the squad, continued: "I think we have quality. We can do it much better in some moments."

Backed by a talented youth academy, Southampton has enough promising players. When these players start to combine their efforts, results like the Swansea win could be achieved more often.

The same goes for the Premier League matches too.

Almost half of the Premier League season is left. The Saints could still turn the tide in their favor if they want.

All they need is collective efforts from their squad in every match.

Next up, Southampton will face Manchester United and Nottingham Forest. Let's hope for the best in these fixtures.
