Ivan Lima has completed a permanent move from Benfica to Piast Gliwice, with the 21-year-old winger having made his senior debut under José Mourinho.

The player said in a social media post that Benfica had been much more than a club, describing it as home and a school where he grew as a player and person.

He reflected on unforgettable moments and values he will carry for life, saying he represented the crest with pride and that a very special chapter in his career had closed.

He added that leaving was not easy but done with gratitude and respect, and that a new adventure now begins with fresh challenges and ambitions. He thanked the club and signed off with its motto.

This season he made 22 appearances for Benfica, 20 with the B team and two for the first team, totalling 1,226 minutes without a goal or an assist. He is valued at 500 thousand euros.
