Brentford B forward Iwan Morgan has made a permanent move to Sky Bet League Two side Grimsby Town.

The prolific young striker joined the Bees in 2023 and had a big impact across his three seasons with the club.

The 20-year-old signed with the B team in September 2023, making the move from Swansea City.

Morgan topped Brentford B's goalscoring charts in his first season with nine goals, before bettering that tally in 2024/25 with 25 goals and four assists in 42 appearances as the Bees reached the Premier League Cup final and won the Professional Development League final against Bournemouth.

Morgan, capable of leading the line or playing off the front, continued his sharp form into the start of the 2025/26 campaign, scoring seven goals before making the move to Sky Bet League Two side Shrewsbury Town on loan in January 2026.

He went on to make 22 appearances for Gavin Cowan's side, scoring three goals in 20 starts across the league and FA Cup, gaining his first taste of the Football League.

The forward regularly trained with the first team and was included in the matchday squad for Premier League fixtures against Leicester City and Everton during the 2024/25 campaign.

He also found the net for the young Bees in the Robert Rowan Invitational against Paris Saint-Germain Under-21s at Gtech Community Stadium.

Internationally, Morgan represented Wales at Under-17s level, helping the side qualify for the 2023 European Championship finals, before continuing his development with the Under-19s.

B-team head coach Sam Saunders said: "We are all really happy and pleased for Iwan to get a permanent move. Grimsby really wanted him and hopefully it is the start of a prosperous Football League career.

"He showed what he was capable of last season when he was on loan and now with this permanent move, he will hopefully kick on.

"His time with the B team was really successful and he played at a high level, so he deserves to take this next step to start his journey.

"It's another indicator of our programme here with the B team and the journey these players are on. We wish him nothing but the best for the future in this next step."
