Scott Parker has confirmed that Club Brugge will be without Jack Hendry for their clash with Oostende at the weekend. Scottish international Hendry joined Club Brugge from Oostende in the summer of 2021 for around €4.50m. The former Celtic defender spent the first half of this current season in Italy with Cremonese, being recalled in January as Parker wanted another defensive option.
The 27-year-old had just forced his way into becoming a regular under the former Fulham and Bournemouth head coach, but will not be available to face his former side at the weekend.
Hendry had to go off injured in last weekends game against Gent, which Club Brugge won 2-0. The game was overshadowed by a controversial incident between Canadian international Tajon Buchanan and Gift Orban. Buchanan appeared to elbow the Nigerian striker in the face, but escaped punishment from VAR. Gent have since complained about the incident to the Belgian FA.
