Jackson Irvine suffers new injury setback

Jackson Irvine will be sidelined until further notice with a foot problem.

According to BuLi News, St. Pauli have confirmed their captain has suffered a new setback involving his left foot.

The 32-year-old previously underwent surgery for a stress reaction in the same foot at the end of April 2025.

He returned in October 2025 and made nine appearances, but the foot is troubling him again.

St. Pauli are due to face Wolfsburg on Wednesday in their first match of 2026.
