Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim forward Jacob Bruun Larsen is set to move to the Premier League and join Burnley on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old will extend his contract at Hoffenheim by a year until 2025 before moving to the newly promoted side. Bruun Larsen will be reunited with Vincent Kompany who brought the 24-year-old to Anderlecht on loan during his time in charge at the club. During his 19 games in Belgium, the Danish international only scored twice and assisted twice
Bruun Larsen struggled last season as he spent most of the time out injured and when he was fit most of his appearances came off of the bench at the beginning of the season. In total, the 24-year-old played only 14 times for the Hoffenheim first team last season.
The extension of Bruun Larsen’s contract could possibly indicate that Hoffenheim are looking to sell the forward next summer and if he performs well enough Hoffenheim could sell the 24-year-old for more than his €3m market value.
