Manchester United had three players in loan action on Wednesday night.

Rasmus Hojlund

Hojlund played the entire 90 minutes of SSC Napoli’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.

Before the game, he was presented with the league’s Rising Star of the Month trophy after an impressive December. During the match, he had two shots on goal, but neither effort hit the target.

One of his efforts was designated as a big chance missed, though. He thought he had equalised for his side when he buried a chance from close range, but VAR ruled the goal out.

Hojlund made three key passes in the match, but only at 58% accuracy. The forward was also ineffective at dribbling, losing the ball both times he tried to take on the defence.

The forward also failed to win any tackles and lost five of his nine duel attempts.

Jadon Sancho

The winger was also ineffective in Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

He made a rare start in the league, but was taken off after 65 minutes of play.

The winger did not make any key passes and failed to find his target with any cross attempts.

Sancho also failed to complete any dribbles or win any tackles in a weak effort.

He was also unsuccessful in winning any of his aerial duels in an invisible night’s work.

Marcus Rashford

The Manchester United attacker played the final 25 minutes of FC Barcelona’s 5-0 demolition of Athletic Club in the Super Cup semi-final.

He had one shot that was blocked and failed to complete any key passes.

Rashford also failed to win his only tackle attempt but did come out on top in two of his three duel efforts.

Nonetheless, he will be disappointed not to have influenced the game from the bench.
