Jadon Sancho's assist for Nicolas Jackson's opening goal in Chelsea's 3-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday marked the first time the winger has created a goal in consecutive Premier League games.
Sancho joined Chelsea on an initial loan deal during the summer and has wasted little time in winning over his new fans. A Player of the Match-winning performance against Bournemouth saw Sancho set up Christopher Nkunku's decider, and he followed that up with another tidy showing against West Ham.
With two assists in two games for his new side, Sancho is threatening to show the sort of form which convinced Manchester United to part with £73m to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
It is no secret that things did not work out for Sancho at Old Trafford and the extent of his struggles has been made perfectly clear following his electric Chelsea start.
Not only has Sancho recorded back-to-back assists for the first time ever in his Premier League career, but he now has more assists for Chelsea than he managed across his last 12 games for United.
Sancho managed just six assists in his 83 games for United, but is already a third of the way to matching that tally after two outings for his new club. His personal best for a Premier League season is three assists.
Chelsea's deal for Sancho includes an obligation to make the move permanent next summer, with the eventual fee ranging from between £20m and £25m, depending on where Chelsea finish in the Premier League table.
