Jamal Musiala believes a Germany recall in March is within reach after returning to full fitness from a fractured fibula.

The 22-year-old made his first Bundesliga start of the season in Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. According to BuLi News, he was asked afterwards whether a call-up was realistic.

'I think so,' he said, while stressing he is taking things step by step.

He added that his focus is first on the match in Dortmund on Saturday and the games after that, and that he needs to regain rhythm. Reflecting on the Frankfurt display, he felt he ran a lot and produced good actions.

His mindset, he said, is to progress game by game and not to dwell on the foot.

He has his eye on the friendlies against Switzerland on 27 March and Ghana on 30 March.

Musiala has made eight appearances for Bayern this season, scoring one and providing two assists.
