Jamal Musiala’s expected injury timeline revealed | OneFootball

Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala suffered an injury setback on Thursday, as he was forced to pull out of the starting lineup for Germany’s 1-1 draw with the Netherlands after picking up a thigh problem during the warm-up.

After undergoing a scan following the game, the German Football Association confirmed on Friday that Musiala has suffered a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh and that he has been forced to withdraw from the squad as a result of the injury.

According to Sky Germany, Musiala is now expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, meaning he will miss at least Bayern’s games against Augsburg in the Bundesliga (October 10) and Viking in the Champions League (October 13).

Musiala already missed Bayern’s first three games of the season due to two on-field collapses related to a neurological dysfunction during pre-season.

However, Germany coach Jürgen Klopp made it clear on Thursday that the issue currently sidelining him is a “football injury” and is not related to the condition.
