James Morrison has made six changes for West Bromwich Albion’s EFL Cup second-round tie at Newcastle United, handing full debuts to three players.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, goalkeeper Matt Ingram, midfielder Rabby Nzingoula and striker Barney Stewart start for the first time, with Alex Williams, Chris Mepham and Conor Townsend also coming in.

Skipper George Campbell keeps his place, as do Harry Whitwell, Ousmane Diakite, Isaac Price and Jimmy-Jay Morgan.

The bench features north east-born Matty Crowther, the academy midfielder signed from Sunderland, alongside O’Leary the goalkeeper, Galves, Phillips, Styles, Horn Myhre, Molumby, Bany and Bostock.

Making way from Sunday’s win over Burnley are Max O’Leary, Nolan Galves, Nat Phillips, Callum Styles, Jayson Molumby and Felix Horn Myhre.

Morrison said yesterday he would rotate given the tight turnaround before Saturday lunchtime’s Championship trip to Middlesbrough. Albion are remaining in the north east to train between the fixtures.

Albion line up in a four-four-two, with Ingram in goal. The back four is Williams, Campbell captain, Mepham and Townsend, the midfield is Whitwell, Nzingoula, Diakite and Price, with Morgan partnering Stewart up front.
