James Morrison says Jed Wallace can be satisfied with his role in West Brom’s survival, with a decision on the winger’s future to come after season-end talks.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wallace returned from injury to feature off the bench in Saturday’s final-day 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday. The former Millwall wideman joined in 2022 on a free and signed a four-year deal that runs out this summer.
“There is a process and talks at the end of the season are ongoing. I can’t give an answer yet but Jed has been a brilliant servant.”
“He was probably one of the driving forces early on in this little run, we had performances that were like the Jed Wallace of old really, and he can be happy with that.”
Morrison declined to discuss specifics on out-of-contract players after the loss in Yorkshire. Forwards Daryl Dike, Josh Maja and Karlan Grant are also awaiting clarity on their futures.
“It needs to change because we’re not happy with this season. We have got to continue to improve and that will be the case. I know what is needed, I think the club know and we will be working hard to get that right.”
