James Morrison says West Brom need wingers and urges patience in window | OneFootball

James Morrison has highlighted West Brom’s lack of senior width and said work is under way in the market, with the season three Saturdays away.

“Well, obviously, we need to get some wingers in.” He was speaking to ExpressAndStar.com.

“We haven't got one at the moment. But there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes. So I'm pretty comfortable. And we're all working together to get the right players in, at the right time. We have to be a little bit smart and patient.”

Jed Wallace was released at the end of his contract and Karlan Grant has also decided not to renew at The Hawthorns. Mikey Johnston remains at the club but did not travel to the Portugal training camp as he continues to recover from a long-term injury.

Isaac Price, who can operate from the left, filled the role in Friday’s 4-1 win over Bromley in Portugal. Academy graduate Harry Whitwell, naturally a central player, started on the right. Prospect Ollie Bostock, 19, was bright in a cameo and set up the late fourth.
