According to L'Équipe, James Zhou has appealed for understanding and patience from Auxerre supporters a day after dismissing head coach Christophe Pelissier.
Speaking from China, where he remains due to a visa issue, the club owner addressed fans. He dismissed Pelissier on Thursday, the coach since 2022, and should replace him with Will Still.
Zhou underlined his attachment to the club, acknowledging he could not be as close as usual this season but that Auxerre remains constantly in his heart.
He described the club as in a period of transition and asked fans to be patient.
He outlined a more ambitious project to move AJA up a level, prompting a change in first-team management.
He praised the work achieved during the second cycle of his ownership, which returned AJA to Ligue 1 and helped it settle there. He ended by expressing confidence in executive president Baptiste Malherbe.
