Veteran striker Jamie Vardy has completed a sensational return to English football as a free agent.
The former Leicester forward has signed for Championship outfit Burnley on a one-year deal.
Vardy was out of contract after his deal with Italian outfit Cremonese ended at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking after completing his move to the Clarets, Vardy said, “I’m really happy to now be here at Burnley FC.
"This club has a proper footballing history and passionate fans who deserve a team that represents them and their town.
"I can’t wait to get going on the pitch and help the team move in the right direction.”
The 39-year-old scored 200 goals for former club Leicester in all competitions.
