Jamie Vardy to stream and commentate Bundesliga on YouTube, starting with Bayern v Stuttgart | OneFootball

Jamie Vardy is moving into broadcasting, with the former Leicester striker to stream and commentate selected Bundesliga fixtures on YouTube.

According to L'Équipe, the 39-year-old, currently without a club after his Cremonese contract expired on 30 June, has secured rights to show seven live Friday-night games this season. They will air on his YouTube channel Jamie Vardy's Having A Party, launched in June.

He will front coverage of the opening fixture this Friday at 20:30, Bayern Munich, the reigning champions, against Stuttgart.

The arrangement comes from a one-year agreement between the Bundesliga and Banijay Entertainment, which owns and produces Vardy's channel and is also behind The Traitors, Survivor and Big Brother.

Former players and other creators will join the coverage, with tone and format still to be revealed. The streams will be available only in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and will not be viewable in France, where beIN Sports remains the sole Bundesliga broadcaster.
