Beckie, who now plays for Portland Thorns in the NWSL, was attempting to close down an attacking Debinha, but the Brazilian play-maker was far too quick for her.

As Beckie lunged in to dispossess the recent Kansas City Current signing, the ball was calmly slotted through her legs and Debinha slipped straight past.

Janine Beckie trolls herself after being nutmegged

Pulling off a nutmeg is one of the most satisfying things in football, but being on the receiving end of one can be a real blow to the ego.

Fortunately, Beckie has a great sense of humour and took straight to social media to roast herself after Debinha's quick feet left her bamboozled.

"Hi kids, today's lesson: how not to defend a Brazilian attacker. Thanks for coming!" she wrote.

"Congrats on 100 caps," one wrote with a laughing emoji.

"Respect the self deprecation," said another.

The 31-year-old scored the winning goal for Brazil in their previous fixture against Japan.

However, Canada did a pretty good job as they went on to win the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Vanessa Gilles and Evelyne Viens.

Canada's last match of the SheBelieves Cup will see them take on Japan at the

Toyota Stadium, in Frisco, Texas.

Their opening fixture against reigning champions USA saw both teams come together in the middle of the pitch to show solidarity for both their fights for gender equality.

Canada are currently playing in the SheBelieves Cup out of protest after their recent strike was called off due to the risk of legal action being taken.
