The new Amazon documentary covering the club shows us a bit more of what the American pair are like.
Birmingham City's star striker Jay Stansfield has revealed what owners Tom Brady and Tom Wagner are actually like to work with.
The Amazon Prime documentary covering the Blues over the past two seasons - Built in Birmingham: Brady and the Blues - has shed a lot of light on the influence that the former NFL quarterback, in particular, has had at St Andrew's since he first became a minority shareholder in the club.
Clips of him questioning the work ethic of the manager at the time, Wayne Rooney, and calling out the 2023/24 squad for being "lazy and entitled" have displayed that, despite his 3.3p-equivalent stake in Birmingham, Brady is someone that has played a very active role in helping the club get back to winning ways.
They smashed the EFL points record last season, amassing 111 of them on the way to lifting the League One title. A first-place finish came as no surprise given the amount of money that they threw at rebuilding the squad for new boss Chris Davies.
£20-25 million was their reported total expenditure last summer, £12-15 million of which is said to have gone on bringing in Stansfield from Fulham.
The 22-year-old was put under a lot of pressure because of the price that Wagner and co were willing to pay for him. He believes that the new Blues documentary will allow people to see what the club, and everyone working there to make it a success, are like behind the scenes, including the two Toms.
"People have an opinion of what you're like from what they see on the pitch and this gives them a chance to see things off the pitch and in training," Stansfield said to MailSport. "It will be good for people to watch.
"It's a privilege to have a name as big as Tom Brady so close to the club. You can contact him whenever you want. If you need motivation, he's always there. He and [the chairman] Tom Wagner are very accessible.
"Tom Brady is very clear. We have our methods and he helps implement them, telling us what a team needs to be successful. As long as we are doing those things right, the football will take care of itself."
Stansfield will be under more pressure again next season. Of course, the price tag is going to follow him around everywhere and will likely never be shaken in the eyes of some hostile opposition supporters, but he's going to have to fight hard to keep his own spot in Davies' side.
Birmingham spent around £10 million to bring Japanese international striker Kyogo Furuhashi in from Rennes. Blues are also looking likely to sign Werder Bremen number nine Martin Ducksch, plus they are willing to pay £6 million to beat Friday's opponents to Chuba Akpom - another central scoring option.
Stansfield isn't the main man anymore, which could relieve some of the heat he'd been feeling in the previous term, but he is going to face plenty of competition for a starting spot.
