Andrée Jeglertz has become the first Head Coach in WSL history to be named Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month three times in a row.
The Swede has picked up December’s prize have been up for the award alongside Arsenal’s Renee Slegers, adding to previous successes in October and November.
In doing so, he’s become the first manager to claim the prize in three successive months since the award was first introduced in September 2018.
Our Head Coach has also equalled the record for the most awards across a single season, shared with Emma Hayes, Marc Skinner and Sonia Bompastor.
City maintained a 100% record across December, beating Leicester 3-0 and Aston Villa 6-1 to see out 2025 in style.
A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw brace and Kerolin strike were enough for victory over the Foxes and guarantee we’d finish the year at the WSL summit.
Shaw was on target another four times against the Villans, surpassing our 100-goal mark in the process, with further strikes from Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema sealing an emphatic win.
City have won each of our last ten matches in the WSL since an opening day defeat to reigning champions Chelsea and currently sit six points clear at the summit.
Speaking about winning a record third-straight Manager of the Month award, Jeglertz said: “I feel very honoured to have won this award again and would like to thank everyone who voted.
“We’ve started the season well, and the credit must go to my players and staff, who’ve worked tremendously hard to get us into this position.
“It’s a privilege to work alongside all of them, and we’re all very excited to return to action and hopefully pick up where we left off before the break.”
