Jérémy Jacquet undergoes successful left shoulder surgery in Paris

Rennes defender Jérémy Jacquet underwent successful surgery on his left shoulder in Paris on Thursday morning.

According to L'Équipe, the 20-year-old France Under-21 international will join Liverpool next summer.

He suffered the injury in a Ligue 1 match at Lens on 7 February, during matchday 21, a game that finished 1-3.

He is not expected to play again for Rennes this season.

He now begins a period of rehabilitation.
