Under INEOS, Manchester United have been keen to acquire the finest young talents, even while pursuing ready‑made stars.
The belief is simple: with these “wonderkids” signed, United could ultimately achieve a successful project that restores their dominance on the pitch.
Sekou Kone, Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven and Diego Leon are among the standout prospects already captured, with INEOS viewing them as central to United’s long‑term future. As the winter transfer window fast approaches, attention inevitably turns to which of the next generation might be snapped up.
United have already been linked with one of the Championship’s brightest prospects, Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga.
At just 16, Monga is best described as an exciting, two‑footed inverted winger. He is admired for his explosive pace, exceptional dribbling, close control at high speed, and unpredictability.
His knack for cutting inside and unleashing powerful shots has consistently troubled Leicester’s opponents.
Remarkably, Monga made his Premier League debut last April at just 15 years and 271 days. A move to Manchester City was close last summer, but it failed to materialise. Nevertheless, in 2026, he is widely expected to secure a big move.
Graeme Bailey, via Teamtalk, has provided the latest update in the Jeremy Monga saga.
While it may not be the most encouraging news for United fans, it should certainly prompt INEOS into action to avoid missing out on the wonderkid.
Bailey reports: “We can reveal that Tottenham have been pushing very strongly in recent weeks, but Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all laid out their plans to the Coventry‑born star.”
Tottenham Hotspur’s aggressive pursuit clearly complicates United’s case. Yet the fact that United have already presented their vision to the teenager, who could be an ideal option as a No.10 in Amorim’s system, suggests they remain determined to hijack any move elsewhere.
With INEOS intent on landing elite young talents as they build for the future, Monga represents a move they simply cannot afford to miss out on.
Securing his signature in this red‑hot race would send shockwaves across the Premier League, reminding everyone of United’s enduring pull.
