According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the RFEF has appointed Jesús Gil Manzano to take charge of Villarreal’s first home game of the season, against Deportivo de La Coruña at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Saturday at 21.00. The referee’s history with the club has been repeatedly contentious.
