Gabriel Jesus is one of the players who could benefit from leaving Arsenal during this transfer window, and the Brazilian is now reportedly nearing a move to Napoli. Arsenal have several attackers in their squad and want to ensure that the team is in the best possible shape as they aim to build one of the strongest squads this season.
The past few months have been difficult for Jesus, who lost his place in the team after Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz returned from injury. With the Gunners continuing to strengthen their squad and add quality players, Jesus appears to have fallen outside their plans for the new season.
Jesus is understood to be aware of his situation, and his entourage have been speaking with clubs in an attempt to find a solution. Napoli have now emerged as the leading contenders for his signature, with a move potentially being completed soon.
According to Football Insider, the chances of Jesus joining the Italian club are increasing after Napoli agreed a deal to sell Romelu Lukaku. The report suggests that Jesus could arrive as a replacement for the Belgian striker, giving Napoli another attacking option while providing the Brazilian with an opportunity to revive his career.
A move to Serie A could be particularly beneficial for Jesus, as regular playing time would give him the chance to regain his confidence and establish himself as an important player again. His situation at Arsenal has made consistent opportunities difficult to secure.
The proposed transfer could therefore work well for both Jesus and Arsenal. The Brazilian would have the opportunity to play more regularly in Serie A, while the Gunners would create additional space within their squad for another striker who better fits their current system.
Arsenal are focused on improving their squad and ensuring they have the right players for their plans this season. With Jesus no longer appearing to be central to those plans, allowing him to leave could be the best solution for all parties.
Napoli’s interest gives the Brazilian a potential route out of a difficult situation, while Arsenal could use his departure to continue reshaping their attacking options. If the move is completed, both clubs could benefit from the change.
